Making Treaty 7 – The Music

The Making Treaty 7 Cultural Society is a non-profit society dedicated to exploring the historical significance of the events at Blackfoot Crossing in 1877, while investigating the consequences and implications of Treaty 7. The Society invites people of all ages and backgrounds to consider an enlightened, sustainable future for everyone – together. The music of the show has been recorded as a souvenir album. It is a commemorative gift to Albertans, marking the 140th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty, and Canada’s 150th birthday.

These songs bring to life the stories of Making Treaty 7 and are as enjoyable as they are educative. This album will be made available to schools and libraries across the province of Alberta. We offer this gift in the hopes of building bridges of understanding. This is made possible thanks to the generosity of Alberta Treasury Branch and the Canada Communities Foundation, and to our musicians, cast, crew, staff, volunteers and the growing community supporting our efforts to celebrate that “We Are All Treaty People”.
