In 2012, the late Michael Green began a conversation with members of the Treaty 7 community. What started initially as a brainstorming session among members of the different nations about how to use theatre to tell stories of Treaty 7 nations evolved into the creation of the Making Treaty 7 Cultural Society. Throughout the process, events were captured on film by a team of videographers including Kelli Morning Bull and Neil Fleming. This is the world premiere of the documentary film that captures the creative methodology for the artistic process, which has become the foundation for all MT7 productions. The film captures important footage from both the founders, the late Narcisse Blood and Michael Green, and many other elders and participants. The film is rounded out with footage from the development of MT7’s premiere of the Kaahsinnoniks production in October 2018.
